Key new recruit for India office

Interfleet's India office has appointed a key new recruit to the team. Mr.Sudhir Kumar joins Interfleet to capitalize on emerging opportunities in rail safety and infrastructure in the metros market in India.
His previous role was Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety in which he acted as the Principal Technical Advisor to the government of India in all matters pertaining to railway safety, including certifying safety of new railway lines for opening them to public use. In this role he had jurisdiction over all zones of Indian Railways, Konkan Railway, Delhi Metro and other upcoming metro Systems.
Mr Kumar joined the Indian Railways Service of Engineers in 1976 gaining extensive experience in survey of new railways, execution of new railway line projects, maintenance and rehabilitation of bridges. His varied experience also includes stints at the Indian Railway Institute of Civil Engineering / Pune where he authored several technical articles, including those on switches & crossings and track machines and later also led an assignment to update the Indian Railways Permanent Way Manual and Works Manual.
